Baltimore Youth Initiative High School (BYIHS, BYI) exists to create a high school environment committed to nurturing excellence in the whole being. We choose to integrate a Waldorf-inspired approach to academics with a youth initiative and parent cooperative governance model to form our school community. Our school promotes equity and the transformation of character, incorporating the Five Strategies of the Virtues Project.

It's on! Time to lift up and polish our virtues! The Virtues Project Five Strategies help us connect with our strengths and hone them to become our very best selves. I'm committing to do more virtues training as well as share more wisdom and thought partnership around transforming the world into a place of love and unity.
This one is in two weeks but there will be more local, virtual, and travel for promoting the The Virtues Project to come.

This Friday will be the beginning of our new IG live poet interview series SaltPepperCatchUp: Pass The Hot Sauce. The only poet interview series where the youth ask the adults all the questions as we “Catch Up” with some of the nations most prominent poets. Beginning this Friday with one of our own the mighty Mecca Verdell Meccamorphosis 🔥🎤👊🏿❤️
