🔹 Adjust routines early: Shift bedtimes and wake-up times to match the school schedule at least a week in advance.
🔹 Practice independence: Let your child try putting on their shoes, zipping coats, opening lunch containers, and using the bathroom independently.
🔹 Visit the school: Attend the cubbie conference with your child’s teacher
🔹 Read together: Check out books about the first day of school to talk about what happens in a classroom.

Our program requires parents to send in a snack with their child served about 10:30 AM to carry them until lunch time. A great formula is: fruit or veggie + dairy or protein + grain.

Try these combinations:
1. Cheese + crackers + grapes (quartered/halved appropriately)
2. Yogurt + berries
3. Hummus + pita
4. Applesauce + cheese stick
5. Mini whole-grain muffin + strawberries
6. Hard-boiled egg + crackers
