Mitchell School of Fine Arts

Our mission is to provide a teaching space where Baltimore studies, discusses, creates and celebrates art.

The Mitchell School was originally established in 1965 by Elizabeth Byrd Mitchell, provides professional fine art instruction to beginner and advanced students in the tradition of the European Masters. Small classes provide students with a high degree of personal attention, and the experienced faculty teaches creative problem solving skills in a supportive and encouraging environment. The convenient location and flexible class schedule make creating art possible for even the busiest family.
