Huge congratulations to Lance Jr. and Joaquin, both bringing home DOUBLE GOLD in their divisions! 🥇🥇

And a big shoutout to Carter for stepping onto the competition mats, challenging himself, and leaving it all out there. 💪🏽

These young warriors have been trusting the process and putting in a ton of work in the lab and it’s showing. Proud of the progress, the effort, and the way they represented the team today.

Class focus: passing the open guard using shin traps to control the legs, transition to knee on belly, and establish a strong position.

Drills like this help our young students develop more than just technique; they build coordination, timing, body control, and confidence on the mats.

The secret is consistency. Consistency builds understanding, sharpens technique, develops timing, and transforms knowledge into technical proficiency.

Some grasp it quickly, and for others a bit longer, but the saying goes,

"It does not matter who the best is in the room, what matters is who remains in the room."

Want to know how to earn your Black Belt?

The answer is easy...DON'T STOP!

Show up as much as you can, be open to learning, don't be afraid to make mistakes, don't be afraid of losing, and trust the process

🥋 WELCOME TO THE TEAM, SENSEI FADLULLAH!

We’re excited to officially welcome Sensei Fadlullah Firman as our Judo Coach at Rollstar Maryland!

Sensei Fadlullah is a Shodan (1st-Degree) Judo Black Belt and Brazilian Jiu Jitsu Purple Belt with a martial arts journey that has included Korean Tang Soo Do, BJJ, and Kodokan Judo.

Fadlullah has been part of the Rollstar family since 2009, when he began training Brazilian Jiu Jitsu under Professor Hernán Guadalupe. In 2022, he began his Judo journey at Columbia Combat Club under Sensei Jesse Ingram, Sensei Damani Ingram, and Sensei Changa Ingram, where he earned his Black Belt and continues to train today.

We’re excited to have him take on this new role and share his knowledge of Judo with our students as we continue to grow and expand the martial arts programs at Rollstar.

Please join us in welcoming Sensei Fadlullah to the Rollstar coaching team! 👏🏽🥋
