Putting Baltimore K-12 students in control of their own lives and their own school since 2008.

A recap of camping at Salisbury Camping & Adventure Park: camp fires, s’mores, chess, musical chairs, car singing, ropes coursing, awesome parents, and oops we bought too much cheese!

This camping trip was a collaboration between a student and staff to find a place, gather interest, communicate with families, plan transportation and coordinate food! What a way to build confidence and competence ✨

We've lowered our price because...plans made in February don't take into account economic times in June. We can be flexible...and fun! Check out the information and find out how to register in the comments. Spread the word--there's a few more spaces available!

This week we played ball, started an apple juice business, took a camping trip & more!

This camping trip was spear headed by a student who searched for camp sites, organized meetings, put together food plans and a budget and organized grocery shopping. Our acquisition of a new 3D printer was also led by a student who thought it was time we upgraded. He looked into new options and worked with a staff to incorporate it a grant we applied for. As he heads into graduation, he passed on his knowledge and skills to a staff to continue the printer’s use after he leaves.

Students develop competence by approaching real life challenges and seeing the effects of their actions. At Sudbury schools this is our bread and butter! Through school meeting, corporations, and a culture of empowerment, students are able to pursue self-chosen goals with real-world
feedback, which strengthens
mastery and confidence.
