Our required athletic program is based on the belief that through the cultivation of physical vigor and wellness, boys learn the value and meaning of teamwork, resilience, competitive spirit, humility, tolerance, and sportsmanship. The school also nourishes and affirms the fundamental importance of spirituality, not merely in an abstract, academic sense, but also in observance and practice, for the formation of an integrated personality. Above all else, Gilman School seeks to help boys grow into men of character. We believe that the qualities of honor, leadership, dedication, and service to others must be emphasized and reinforced through all aspects of the school community. To that end, Gilman adheres to a comprehensive honor code, a service learning program, and a commitment to diversity in all of its forms.

Today, the Gilman community celebrates one of our own: Congratulations to Troy Rohrbaugh ’88 on being named Co-President of JPMorgan Chase, the nation's largest bank.

Throughout his distinguished career, Troy has embodied the pursuit of excellence, principled leadership, and a commitment to serving others. His appointment to one of the highest leadership positions in global banking is a remarkable achievement and a testament to the trust and respect he has earned throughout his career.

What makes this milestone especially meaningful to Gilman is Troy's unwavering commitment to his alma mater. Through his service as a trustee, volunteer leader, and philanthropist, he has generously shared his time, expertise, and leadership to help shape the future of Gilman. His service as Vice President of the Board of Trustees will begin on July 1.

Congratulations, Troy. We are incredibly proud of all you have accomplished and grateful for the example you continue to set for future generations of Greyhounds.

Alumni Weekend 2026 was a success!

With hundreds of alumni returning to campus, Gilman was filled with energy, connection, and celebration all weekend long.

From the Crab Feast to campus tours, alumni enjoyed a full two days of events. They cheered on the Greyhounds at lacrosse and baseball games, gathered for the All-Reunion Class Cocktail Party, attended class-specific celebrations, and more. Each moment reflected the lasting connections and shared pride that last well beyond one’s time as a student.
