Brotherhood Spotlight: Meet President Richard Eng
~~~~~
“Hi my name’s Richard and I’m a senior from New Hampshire. I’m the current president of Beta and I play on the Johns Hopkins club lacrosse team. I love to cook and walk my dog Charlie. You’ll probably see us around campus, she loves when people say hi. I study biomedical engineering and do research for a chemical engineering lab. If you’re a BME I’ll probably be your TA. I work on a design team that’s developing a system to diagnose internal hemorrhage on the battlefield. They say love is a battlefield but my love for the boys is smooth sailing.”
Brotherhood Spotlight: Meet Jeff Qu
“Hi, I'm Jeff and I'm a junior from upstate NY studying economics and psychology. On campus, I am on the communications team for TEDxJHU, a tour guide for BKS, a project manager for SCNO and I'm on Hoptoberfest. I love to climb, workout, hike, and play spikeball. When I'm not doing these things you can usually find me chilling with the boys.”
Throwback Thursday to our event, JHU Mental Health Day. As Johns Hopkins students, we are lucky to have such great resources available to us.
We were happy to spend our Sunday with the JHU Counseling Center and Caring Canines Pet Therapy to talk about mental health and be a well needed study break.
Please feel free to reach out to the Counseling Center to schedule an appointment or learn more at 410-516-8278.
Congratulations to Jimmy, your 2019 Mr. Phi Mu and Hopkins’ most eligible bachelor.
Thank you Phi Mu for a great night filled with laughs and good times. The work you do for the Katie Oppo Ovarian Cancer Research fund is truly inspiring.
The Betas have been extremely busy with community service and philanthropy these last couple weeks. Our work at the JHU Push, the Beta Theta Pi Co****le Tournament, and the Wyman Park Dell has been extremely enjoyable and rewarding. We look forward to continuing these traditions in the future!
