He never misses an opportunity to attend a CICL Board Meeting, Golf Fundraiser, or Walk so it was my honor as well as Advisory Board Member Brian LaChapelle’s honor to attend his kick off breakfast. Mark Chang is running for Senate in District 32.

What a beautiful day for a Walk. The 27th Annual Walk/Run for Infant & Child Loss truly proved to be one for the record books. The number of registered walkers continues to astound me, and I am deeply grateful for the incredible outpouring of support.

There are so many to thank. A heartfelt thank you to our Title Sponsor, Telegent Engineering. Thank you as well to our Lunch Sponsor, The Legacy of Dennis Kemp Jr. We are grateful to our local partners—Costco, Wawa, Wegmans, Weis, HERR’s and Lowes—for their generous donations.

A special thank you to the Annapolis Area Chick-fil-A for the gift basket that was raffled off, and to Black Market Bakers for the delicious brownies that disappeared almost as quickly as they were set out. Thank you to CICL Board Members Terry & Stephanie for the beautiful pink and blue bears that were given to each team. We are appreciative of the beautiful handmade Origami keepsakes for families as well.

We also challenged our walkers with a Double Good Popcorn fundraiser, and a special shout-out goes to Keisha Douglas, who accepted the challenge and singlehandedly raised over $700 for Team Malik. Your dedication is truly appreciated.

Thank you to DJ Anthony Younger for keeping the energy alive, to our photographer Louis Cannon for capturing meaningful moments, and to Mike Willoughby & sons for their help with signage. We are also incredibly grateful to our volunteers—CC Baines, Terre Dohrman, Iris LaChapelle, Michelle Cannon, Tonya Logan, and all those who stepped in to lend a hand.

A special thank you to all the children who participated in the “Say Their Name” and Bubble Ceremony—your presence makes these moments especially meaningful.

Because of all of you, we raised over $21,000 in support of our mission.

Thank you for making this day so memorable
