You never know where you'll run into a fellow Bryn Mawr alum! Yesterday at St. John's Church in Southwest Harbor, Maine, Judy Sullivan Palfrey '63 and Cricket Cooper '79 realized they were both BMS grads.

As Cricket shared: "During the Announcements, I mentioned this and said, "If I'd only known we were having a reunion, I would have picked our School Hymn!" -- and I started to sing the first few words of Jerusalem.... whereupon the entire church chimed right in, a capella and from memory, and we sang the whole 1st verse through! It was a hoot, like one of those improbable moments in a musical when suddenly the entire town starts to sing together in 4-part harmony!" Shouting the love for Judy and Cricket!

As we prepare for tomorrow’s ceremonial groundbreaking, we are feeling especially grateful for the alumnae who returned during Alumnae Weekend to sign the walls of Hardy and share their memories as part of Hardy’s Last Hurrah! Inspiring Spaces represents a $16 million investment in the future of a new Upper School building. To date, we have $2 million left to raise towards this main priority. As we say goodbye to Hardy, we look ahead to a dynamic new home for Upper School learning featuring six fully equipped science labs, new classrooms, flexible huddle spaces, and intentional design that fosters collaboration between the humanities and the sciences. The new building will provide full ADA accessibility and serve as a vibrant hub for our students. Most importantly, it will give our Upper School a space as innovative and exceptional as they are.
