⭐️✨Portrait of a Graduate Competency: Being confident ✨⭐️

“We have witnessed Ki’Are’s growth as a young scholar committed to self-improvement across years and at different stages of her academic journey. She is a senior at Bard High School Early College Baltimore. In statistics, Ki’Are asks questions boldly, seeks clarity with humility, and approaches challenges with determination. She has learned that it is not only okay to not know something—it is a sign of true scholarship to seek understanding. Ki’Are lives the motto, “Every day is a chance to be better than yesterday.” Her academic journey illustrates a student who consistently strives for improvement and is unafraid to grow through discomfort. “

🥳The City Schools Icon Awards honor students who demonstrate one of the five Portrait of a Graduate competencies. Students are nominated by their schools on a rolling basis, and are celebrated for their positive impact on our school communities, helping to create an environment where learning and growth thrive.
