Today, we honor Juneteenth—a celebration of freedom, resilience, and the ongoing pursuit of justice. As a community committed to Love in Action, we remember that freedom is not just a moment in history, but a call to build a world where every person can thrive.

Throwback to the 2005 MidYear Conference where our Connecticut cohort joined their fellow volunteers from across the country to build community and gain tangible skills for their service year and beyond!

From choosing Saint Julie Billiart as her confirmation saint at age 13 to building a career serving young women, Gabriella Herrera’s journey came full circle after serving with NDMV.

Through Notre Dame Mission Volunteers, she discovered her calling at the Cornelia Connelly Center growing from teaching fellow to educator and now School Operations & Support Coordinator. Her story is a powerful reminder that service can open the door to purpose.
