Supporting Step-parents everywhere to bring more ease, balance, love and connection into their lives and households.

Evolution of my personal journey, education and biz, always starts with a question:
Q: Why are humans the way we are?
--> BA in Sociology, minor in Global Studies
Q: Why do I feel like s**t so often & can't seem to stop eating?
--> Holistic Health Coach Certification
Q: What are the deeper, underlying root causes for mine and others suffering and how do we work with the mind and emotions to feel better?
--> MS in Pastoral Counseling
Q: WHAT ABOUT THE BODY?
-->Certification in Yoga Teaching
Q: Why is being in a step-mom role so f'ing hard?
-->Certification as a Stepfamily Coach
Q: Why can't I get anyone to pay me for my knowledge?
--> Thousands of dollars & several years invested in business coaching and learning about service industry biz building strategies.
Should-have gotten a certification in something for that!😂
Q: What gets humans through unprecedented grief and stress?
--> Nature Therapy Certification

What's next? 😉

You don't have to do this alone! And nobody should.
I am super passionate about creating community, ESPECIALLY for women, ESPECIALLY right now. The pandemic has brought on a whole other layer of inequity in the home and I'd wager to say that Step-moms suffer the most from these cultural inequities. Why? Because they have all the same expectations as Moms, but then also some others added on, as well as none of the very few privileges, understanding, or support that Moms get. And I'm talking on a societal, cultural level here.

So if you are FEELING that, I get it! And you are SO NOT ALONE! You would honestly be AMAZED at the similarities in your and other Step-moms experiences!

If you are:

* Struggling, frustrated, confused, stressed in your Step-mom role
* Growth-oriented and solution-focused in your thinking or wanting to be
* Feeling like nobody really gets what its like to be in your position
* Looking for connection at a deep, REAL level with other Step-moms

I have the thing for you!

Monday evenings at 5pm EST for one hour we come together virtually (via GOOGLEMEETS). Step-moms from all around the country who know they could benefit from the nourishing, enriching, supportive experience of being with others who GET IT, listening to them talk and thinking to themselves, "WHAT?! She's in my brain! I thought I was crazy for feeling that way!" and getting growth-oriented feedback to take your challenges and head in a positive, productive direction with them. To GROW through what you GO through.

I hope you can make it! And if you know of any Step-moms who are also having a hard time, pass this along!

The next group is actually TOMORROW EVENING. During the summer the group will be held monthly, so grab your spot at tomorrow's group before it fills! July's group will be Monday the 26th so if you can't make this one, mark your calendar!

Skillful Detaching.....

It can be so challenging to figure out the nuances of detaching from your step kids. But sometimes it's oh so necessary for relationship health & SANITY!

This was one of the topics of convo at our most recent virtual Stepmom Support Group. We reminded each other that being treated badly is not something to detach from - its always important to stand up for yourself and advocate *kindly* for how you want to be treated. However, your worries and concerns about 5 years from now? What type of adult your steps will grow up to be? Not yours. Letting it go is actually the most loving thing to do, oftentimes. Not easy! That's why we're here to support each other.

Sometimes the skillful detaching is a bob and weave, and can depend on so many things. We're not meant to do challenging things on our own, and navigating stepmotherhood is definitely something that having a supportive community to bounce ideas off, get feedback, and hear others experience is so, so powerful.

The group is every other Monday evening at 5pm EST.

Some benefits frequenters of the Monday night virtual Step-mom Support Group are talking about:
"Feeling like I’m not alone. Also learning from other people’s experiences and getting input on difficult situations."
"Connecting with others in similar situations, which is very validating !"
"Feeling an immediate connection to shared experiences!"
"Validation"
"Talking with other stepmoms who get it! It's nice to know I'm not alone and feel supported."
"Hearing other step mom stories and getting input on personal step-parenting problems/concerns from other moms"

As you can joining the group is a hugely validating experience! It's easy to feel alone in the Step-mom journey, like you are crazy for feeling the way you do, or that your challenges are different/harder than everyone else's. Joining the monday evening group will give you the nourishing opportunity to find out that you are, in fact, not at all alone! That even the seemingly craziest of feelings that you have or challenges are not crazy at all when you're in a group of Step-moms.

This group is growth-oriented and you have an opportunity to listen and hear from others, get feedback if you want it, and/or vent if you need to.

Link to register is in the comments! Next group is May 17th 5pm EST.

See you there!

For anyone who needs to hear this-.As we roll into the holidays, navigating often complex family dynamics and a pandemic and the pressure that can accompany all the decision-making involved, I hope you can remember this!
