Most golfers just aimlessly hit wedges at one target. 👀
The key is to build a system so your short game travels to the course.
Here’s a 4-step practice plan you can save and follow:
1. Setup & Ball Position
Ball just slightly back of center for lower shots, slightly forward for higher flights.
Weight: 60–65% on lead foot for crisp contact.
Hands: slightly ahead of ball, clubface neutral unless you’re working on open-face shots.
2. Distance Control Ladder
Pick 3 targets (30, 50, 70 yards).
Hit 3 balls to each, track how close you get.
Outcome: Learn to dial in yardages instead of guessing.
3. Trajectory Practice
Same target, 3 different shots: low, medium, high.
Feel the difference in ball position, shaft lean, and weight shift.
4. Randomize
Never hit the same shot twice in a row.
Pretend you’re on the course — different distances, lies, and shapes.
Outcome: Builds confidence and adaptability under pressure.
The feel: Smooth tempo, brush the turf, don’t “hit down hard.” Imagine tossing the ball underhand to your target.
