We celebrated the end of an AMAZING summer with our annual Best Buddies Backyard Bash! 🎉💦🍔🌈 Our buddies had the best time making memories, enjoying some summer fun, and celebrating all the wonderful moments that made this summer so special!

It’s hard to believe that our summer buddies are already back to school! 🥹📚 Where did the time go?! From water play and ice cream days to special visitors, fun activities, and everything in between, we’ve loved watching our buddies learn, laugh, grow, and make memories all summer long. 💛

Our younger buddies are settling into the new routine in their new classrooms and already making new memories. We are excited to see what this new school year holds!

What started as one woman’s vision has grown into so much more than a childcare center. Best Buddies has become a home away from home for so many children, families, and staff. 🏡💙 A place where children learn, grow, laugh, and make memories, and where staff have built relationships, friendships, and a sense of family.

From a small home daycare, to a center and then multiple centers you have truly built a legacy all while keeping the dream of Enriching the life of each child one day at a time as your main goal 💕

Your dream, your vision, and your willingness to never give up are the reason we are here today. You have created something truly special, and the impact you’ve made over these past 12 years reaches far beyond these walls.

Today we are celebrating 3 wonderful years of Mrs. Ashley being a part of the Best Buddies family! 🥳

For the past three years, Mrs. Ashley has been loving, caring, dependable, and always ready to jump in wherever she is needed. Working with our littlest buddies takes patience, love, and dedication, and Mrs. Ashley brings all of that and more each and every day. 💙

She is not only a wonderful part of our infant team, but she is also a BIG help to everyone around her! Whether she’s helping a coworker, stepping in when an extra hand is needed, or simply just being there we know we can count on her. That kind of teamwork and willingness to help does not go unnoticed! 👏🏽✨

We’re soaking up every last bit of summer fun at BBLC with an exciting Summer Spirit Week! 🌞

Today was Wear Yellow Day, and our buddies definitely brought ALL the sunshine! 💛🌻 From bright smiles to bright yellow outfits, our school was glowing!

And what better way to enjoy a sunny day than with a refreshing lemonade stand! 🍋🥤 Our buddies had so much fun enjoying their lemonade and making sweet summer memories with their friends and teachers.

We’re not quite ready to say goodbye to summer just yet, but we’re making these final days count! 💛☀️🍋

Ten years ago, our owner had a dream—She loved her home daycare so much she wanted more. With hard work, dedication, and a heart full of love for children, that dream grew into Best Buddies Learning Center, a place where countless children have learned, grown, and created lifelong memories 💙💛

Today, we were so proud to celebrate this incredible milestone with our staff, families, and buddies.
It was a day filled with laughter, fun, smiles, and special memories as we celebrated 10 amazing years together 💙💛

We are beyond grateful to our wonderful families for trusting us, our dedicated staff for their passion and commitment, and our amazing buddies who make every day so special. None of this would have been possible without the vision, determination, and love that started it all.

Ms. Kolby shows up every single day and gives her all to caring for, loving, teaching, and nurturing our little buddies. Best Buddies Learning Center is looking for a Director Qualified individual to join our team and provide leadership support during our Director’s maternity leave.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is passionate about early childhood education, enjoys supporting teachers, building relationships with families, and helping create a positive and nurturing learning environment for children.

The ideal candidate will:
✨ Be Director Qualified (per Maryland childcare requirements)
✨ Have strong leadership and communication skills
✨ Be knowledgeable in early childhood education practices and licensing requirements
✨ Be dependable, organized, and passionate about supporting children and educators
✨ Enjoy engaging with children and supporting teachers in various classrooms

Start right away! The selected candidate will begin immediately, working alongside our current Director to learn director duties, engage in various classrooms, and build relationships with our staff, children, and families before taking over during maternity leave.

This position will begin as a full-time leadership role, allowing for a smooth transition during maternity leave, with the opportunity to become a permanent full-time member of our team after the leave.

Our Summer Camp Buddies had an amazing time today during a special visit from Sharing Horses W Humans, LLC who brought their traveling petting farm to BBLC!
Our buddies loved meeting and interacting with the friendly animals, including sheep, goats, a bunny, a duck, and even a miniature horse. They also learned what each animal likes to eat and drink, how they stay cool during the hot summer months, and interesting facts about how they are cared for.
The excitement didn't stop there—our teachers and younger buddies also had the opportunity to stop by and enjoy the animals. Thank you for a great visit!
