The James Edgar McDonald Child Development Center was established in 2013 to address the child care and early learning needs for young children of students, University faculty, staff, and the immediate community. The center is located on the Campus of Coppin State University within the Health and Human Services Building. The Child Development Center is a high quality early care and education prog

ram that promotes healthy social and emotional development, as well as interactive learning through meaningful play experiences that are carefully planned to match children’s interests, learning styles, and abilities. The James Edgar McDonald Child Development Center provides:

•Affordable high quality preschool/school age programing
•Drop-in care for young children of students, faculty, and staff
•Before and after school programing
•Flexible fulltime and/or part time hours to support the varying needs of families of young children
