The Phillips Collection is seeking applicants for our three fellowship programs for the 2022-2023 academic year.
The Makeba Clay Diversity Fellowship will host a fellow to conduct research for The Phillip Collection's Institutional History project, a project exploring the history of the Phillips Collection and its relationship to DC's evolving communities.
The Phillips Collection Terra Curatorial Fellowship will involve assisting with curatorial research dedicated to the re-contextualization of the Phillips Collection’s permanent collection.
The Visitor Experience/ Digital Audience Engagement Fellow will engage in research and application of online and onsite visitor experience initiatives. This will include, but not be limited to, exploring best practices in online audience engagement and onsite visitor experience via evaluation and assessment
All fellowships will be hybrid, including both remote and in-person work. Candidates must live in the DMV area and be able to work occasionally on-site at the museum.

Seeking temporary volunteer museum paid docents ($12/hr) for SPARK: New Light at The Peale, Baltimore, MD.
Towson University and UMBC are recruiting paid volunteers to serve as docents for our SPARK: New Light exhibition at the Peale from August 18 - September 25.
Docents will be on site to answer visitor inquiries and lightly monitor the large exhibition which is located in the second and third-floor galleries of the Peale (the Peale is accessible.)
Volunteers will be given a stipend of $12 an hour for their time, to be paid as a single stipend payment after the close of the exhibition in late September. Volunteers will not be considered employees of Towson University, UMBC, or the Peale.
Docent shifts available from August 18 -September 25:
Thursdays: 3 - 7 pm
Fridays: 3 - 7 pm
Saturdays, two shifts: 10 am -1 pm and 1 - 4 pm
Sundays, two shifts: 10 am -1 pm and 1 - 4 pm
To be considered, please send an email to [email protected] – tell us a little about yourself and why this opportunity interests you, and include information about your availability to volunteer during the run of the exhibition. We are ideally looking for volunteers who can take on several shifts to aid in scheduling.

Yesterday students from ART 320 and ART 210 travelled down to Maryland Art Place to install work in this years Out Of Order Exhibition!
