Smiles, laughter, dancing, and lots of fun filled the day at Yorkwood’s PBIS Denim Drip!

Our scholars enjoyed a dance party with DJ Q, one of our Yorkwood dads, cooled off with Kona Ice, selected free books to take home, and spent time bouncing and playing with friends. The excitement and joy on their faces said it all.

We love creating opportunities for our scholars to celebrate their hard work, positive choices, and the strong community we have built together at Yorkwood.

Yorkwood came together for an MCAP Pep Rally and Walk of Affirmation to uplift our 3rd–5th graders! Our PreK–2nd grade scholars lined the halls to cheer them on as they prepare for next week’s assessments. We believe in you - soar high!

Yorkwood Elementary's Global Awareness Day was a wonderful celebration! Our PreK–5th grade students proudly presented countries from around the world and shared their learning, growing as global citizens along the way. So proud of our scholars!

YES families came together for an evening filled with hands-on STEM activities, laughter, and learning. This special event was all about building community, sparking curiosity, and enjoying science as a family. Thank you to everyone who joined us for an unforgettable learning night!

Yorkwood's 5th graders stepped into the real world at JA BizTown Maryland - running businesses, managing money, and even voting for mayor! This immersive experience brings financial literacy and economics to life in the most exciting way. We’re so proud of our future leaders! 💼✨

We are incredibly proud of our YES scholars who represented Yorkwood with excellence at Morgan State University's K–12 Education Showcase on Saturday, April 11!

Our students confidently led and demonstrated sessions in the exciting field of AI, showcasing their knowledge, creativity, and innovation. They truly shined and made our school community proud!

A special thank you to Morgan State University and their CEAMLS team for hosting this impactful event and for being such a strong partner in supporting our scholars’ learning and growth in this field.
