On Saturday, May 16, at 2PM the National Museum of Language is hosting a speaker program about the Texas Czech Language Project (see below). This might be of interest to your constituency.

The National Museum of Language Speaker Series Free virtual events with language teachers, researchers, preservers, and lovers.

We at CSHA are saddened to announce that the Mikuláš, Čert and Anděl will not be visiting us in Baltimore this year. After the closure of our favorite St. Wenceslas church, we were not able to find a location to hold the event.

We will do our best to invite Mikuláš and his buddies next year....

Just when I returned from the annual fall trip to the USA I was interviewed by the Český Rozhlas Radio Prague. Thanks for allowing me to talk about what I love... guiding visitors through my beloved city of Prague, but talk also about my life journey on two continents and my project of bilingual calendars.

It is with great sadness that we announce that our friend, Aleš (Alex) Vanicky, passed away on February 27th, 2025, after a long illness. Alex was a long-time CSHA board member and part of our Heritage Singers group. He was a gifted graphic artist and a painter. Those of us who had the pleasure to meet Alex will fondly remember his sense of humor, kindness, and generosity. He will be greatly missed. Our thoughts are with his family in this difficult time. R.I.P. Alex. 💔
