Congratulations to 3L Alexa Thomas, Mock Trial President of the 2025-2026 Advocacy Program Executive Board, for being named a 2026 Academic All-American Trial Advocate by the National Association of Legal Advocacy Educators (NALAE).

20 advocates were selected from programs across the country to be recognized based on academic achievement, competition success, and leadership in their law school community.

This past weekend, our National Moot Court Team competed at the John J. Gibbons Moot Court Competition. We’re proud to share that Olivia and Garri earned Second Place Best Brief!!

This marks a historic moment—Ubalt Law hasn’t been recognized at this competition in over five years.

Way to go, Garri and Olivia! We’re incredibly proud of you both 👏

The John J. Gibbons Criminal Procedure Moot Court Competition focuses on timely and complex issues in criminal procedure and criminal law. Hosted in the heart of Newark, New Jersey, the competition brings together more than forty law schools from across the country.

Good luck to Moot Court President Garri Edwards (3L) and Olivia Goughan (3L)! A huge thank you to their dedicated coaches, Laurie Bennett and Jessica Swadow, for their guidance and support.
