MY GOD🥹 Jamal was a former Southwestern Saber years after I graduated in '98. This is very tragic and my heart goes out to our fellow Saber family as well as his friends and loved ones. I pray anyone who committed this heinous crime is prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law. Rest easy Jamal, once a Saber always a Saber🙏🕊️💜💯

Jamal Barney, two-time All-Metro basketball pick at Southwestern and Loyola Maryland standout, found dead in West Baltimore Jamal Barney, who played basketball for Loyola University Maryland after breaking through as a two-time Baltimore Sun All-Metro pick from Southwestern High School, was found dead Monday in a vacant home in Midtown-Edmondson, according to Baltimore Police.

Today marks 25yrs ago that I graduated from Southwestern Senior High School on June 7th of 1998 on our football field. My God it seems just like yesterday to me. It's like I blinked and them 25yrs flew by in an instant. I met some of the greatest people I've ever known there. Some who are still in my life and others who have passed away, some who are locked up or we just simply parted ways. It truly was the school of hard knocks. One things for certain tho back then even tho most of us came from different hoods me and my peoples had each other's backs. Southwestern is now a Seed school so in some aspects it lives on but the dynamics have certainly changed. As for me I hold on to the memories ( mostly the beautiful girls I once called mine), good or bad those were our moments and it shaped our future & made us the Men and Women that we are today. I love each and mostly every one of you. When you a Saber you a Saber for life. So cheers to my fellow Class of 1998 Alumni. May God bless you always 👑💜💪💯

Today is not only when our Lord Jesus Christ was resurrected on Easter. It also would have been my Babygirl and love of my life Miss April Jones' 38th B-day. You were called home in May of 2017 April and to me the pain is still there and will never go away. Today I celebrate our love, your life and I was honored to call you mine in this lifetime.
