It’s Fridaaaay! Camp Act 7 is halfway filled! Do you know a child that loves the arts? Check out act7arts.com! Join us from June 19 to July 28! Searching for talented boys and girls ages 3-13! Your child will visit many different teachers per day!! They will experience daily activities in Dance, Music, STEM/Art, Theater, Social Emotional Learning, and Creative/ Song writing! They will also get the chance to participate in our musical production! The cost includes daily classes, weekly trips, daily rehearsals, weekly events, games, prizes, breakfast, lunch, and swimming trips! If your child is at least 14, an artist or performer, or attended in past summers, we might be able to hire them through Youthworks this summer, but the application deadline is this Friday! You must have a Baltimore City address or the application will be rejected! I’m so excited to be back this summer! We will be presenting “Matilda the Musical!”

We are piloting a virtual camp experience this summer! The culminating event will feature camper virtual performances from Shrek, Aladdin, and original work from campers! We will hold virtual auditions and practice just like any other summer! We will still offer virtual classes from all of your favorite instructors and optional outdoor team-building meet ups and events once per week! We will still rehearse, have discussions, dance,create, play group games, practice our math, reading, and writing, have theme weeks, sing a longs, science experiments, virtual field trips, and give away prizes for our best dressed on dress up days! We will still have small groups with your own counselors to get to know and love! We couldn't stand going an entire year without seeing our ACT 7 family, so we came up with a virtual camp to make it happen! July 6 to August 7! Registration opening next week!

Good Afternoon Act 7 Families! Ms. Richardson here! Although traditional camp can't happen due to our size and nature, we are actively considering virtual alternatives. I am taking a poll! Would you and your child/ children be interested in a virtual Act 7 experience beginning this July? It will be a reasonable weekly rate, with optional outdoor meet ups once per week. We will offer a camp day's worth of virtual classes in Art, Music, Dance, Theater, Reading, Writing, Math, Elective Activities, special guests artists from the entertainment and performing arts industry, and some virtual field trips. Campers would still be instructed virtually by their favorite teachers and counselors. I'm trying to see if there is a need in our community, but of course considering safety first! Let me know in the comments below if you would be interested in a virtual experience!

It is with terrible regret that we must announce the cancellation of the Act 7 Arts, 2020 camp season. Due to the size of our camp, the nature of our daily camp activities, and the supplemental activities and events such as trips, swimming, and our final production not being able to take place, we feel that it is in the best interests of our children to cancel for this season. The restrictions would make this an experience that is so different and not the joyful experience that they are used to each summer. This is very devastating for us as a staff and a camp community. If you made payment for the 2020 season, you will be receiving a full refund no later that June 29, 2020. Please keep in touch with us throughout the coming school year, and we will see you all with excitement and joy in our new location for the summer of 2021!!
