Our incredible team has been bringing learning to life 🎭🎨🔬➗—from hands-on fun in theatre, art, science, and math.

🚀🔬 Our S.M.A.R.T. Scholars spent the day at the Maryland Science Center, exploring side by side, sparking ideas, and sharing “wow” moments together. 🧪🌍✨

Tree Planting Thursday! 🌱

Our teen campers have been busy getting their hands in the soil and their hearts in the garden! 🌞 This week, they planted orange tree seeds, lemon tree seeds, cherry tree seeds, and apple tree seeds, each one full of hope, care, and the promise of future harvests. 🌳✨

Who knows? One day, these seeds might grow into trees that will shade future generations and bear fruit for our community. 🍊🍋🍒🍏💚

🌟 Wonderful Wednesdays – 💦 Pool Fun

At the S.M.A.R.T. Summer Academy Program, Wednesdays are our swim days.
✨ We head to Druid Hill Park for some splash time at the pool 🏊🏽‍♀️💧 and enjoy classic backyard games like Tag 🏃🏽‍♂️💨 and Simon Says 🎯🙋🏾‍♀️.

These activities aren’t just fun, they’re designed to build leadership skills 🏆, encourage teamwork 🤝🏾, and strengthen communication.

🌿 Terrific Tuesday Recap! Our S.M.A.R.T. Summer Academy Program is thriving with our hydroponics lab and outdoor science enrichment.

Tuesday’s session was a thriving success! Our brilliant youth campers explored soil-free gardening 🪴 by planting lettuce seeds with coconut cork, nets, and mesh. With help from our fantastic staff 👩🏾‍🏫👨🏾‍🏫, they placed their seeds into a hydroponic pond 🌊—learning how minerals fuel plant growth!

We’re growing more than plants—we’re growing curious minds, responsibility, and future innovators! 💡🌿

🐸 In the S.M.A.R.T. Afterschool Program, students dove into the frog life cycle and brought science to life, literally! 🔬🌿

🖥️💡 They coded digital frogs to hop and eat in patterns, then used everyday materials 🧻✂️🖍️ to build creative frog habitats they could proudly take home 🏡.

From coding challenges 🤖 to hands-on fun 🎨🔧, their curiosity and creativity truly shined!! 🌟🙌
