We study Black authors and artists because they do a mind/body/spirit good! There is a place beyond race, gender and story. It lives at their core.

It’s that time again! With the summer quickly approaching we need support from our community. When you buy a Tshirt from us you’re helping provide books and supplies for our participants.

This year’s tees feature a quote from Cebo Campbell’s Sky Full of Elephants. This message holds a special place in our hearts because of the nature of this work. We believe there is something transformative about Black children being held by stories written for them, by people who look like them, love them, and see them fully. We believe reading can be healing. We believe joy is necessary. We believe love is revolutionary.

A Revolutionary Summer has always been rooted in community, and it takes all of us to make this space possible year after year. If you’re able, purchase a shirt and share this with your people.

And if monetary support isn’t accessible right now, there will be opportunities to volunteer, show up, and love on our young people alongside us this summer.

Thank you for continuing to believe in Black children, Black futures, and the power of collective care. 🖤
