Welcome to the Class of 1977. With 2017 approaching, we are beginning to organize a class reunion and this will be our homepage. Sincerely,
Your Classmates

As we look ahead to 2017 we will be celebrating 40 years since we left the halls of our wonderful school and the foundation of our education. We have begun recruiting classmates to help plan and organize an event for everyone to celebrate and reminisce about the good old day's and what Shrine of the Little has meant in our lives. All information is welcome and if you can reach out to your fellow classmates, please do so and pass the link along.

As we gather this Thanksgiving, it’s impossible not to feel the absence of loved ones who once filled our tables.

Remember, however, that they are all around us—in our traditions, in the stories we tell, and in their legacy of family, friendship, and faith.

This week, let’s honor those who came before us, knowing they, too, faced loss, adapted, and created memories so that we can do the same for the next generation.

It is with a heavy heart that I announce our Classmate Darryl Boeshore passed away at home early this morning, December 17, 2022.

Darryl had suffered a heart attack on December 3rd and was recovering at home after receiving a stent.

Please keep our Classmate and his Family and Friends in your prayers during this difficult time.

Arrangements are being finalized at Schmincke Funeral Home in Perry Hall.

For classmates who may not be aware, Fr. Mike, who has been the pastor of SLF for the last 29 years, is going into semi-retirement. His last mass shall be this Sunday, June 27th, at 11 am. I received the following request:

Hi. This is Kathy. I am from the Class of 76. I just posted a reminder to see if any classmates are interested in going to Fr Mike's last mass next week or maybe going tomorrow instead. Was wondering if the Admin of '77 would do the same and keep me posted. Thanks!

For anyone interested, here is the information:
Please join us for a Solemn Mass with choir, organ and brass with Dr. Sean O’Connor and Michael Britt at the organ as we celebrate Father Michael J. Orchik as his tenure as pastor concludes at SLF after 29 years. Plenty of parking in the school lot as well as street parking. Security will be onsite from 10 am until 1 pm to assist with parking to and from cars as well. All donations to assist with a gift as well as for this day can be sent to SLF Alumni , Attn: Garry, 2854 Brendan Ave, 21213. ( shhh the gift is a surprise). No RSVP needed for the mass. We will have overflow seating in the chapel where if needed the mass will be live-streamed. Please plan to join us.

Holiday Greetings Gang.

It was a joy to get together for a few hours in June and celebrate our accomplishments over the past 40 years. Old friends are always special and I'm glad we had the chance to reminisce.

As we age like fine wine many of us suffer hardship, some with the loss of a loved one, Marie our prayers are with you and your family during this Holiday Season with the passing of your husband.

As for me, life changes in an instant. What was supposed to be disc replacement neck surgery has now graduated into heart bypass surgery on Friday the 22nd at St. Joseph's. While it's disappointing that the initial surgery has to be postponed, I am blessed with the discovery of my heart condition, those above must have more plans for me and I am forever grateful to the Professionals at the Mighty Joe.

While I may have received the greatest gift ever, we may all want to hit our knees and be grateful for the love of our family and friends. Take the time to mend that fence because nothing is to egregious to ask for forgiveness, thank you Michael.

God Bless Everyone and Merry Christmas,
Patrick

Good Morning Class,

What a wonderful time we had last month and thanks to everyone who was able to attend, a glorious evening I must say.

Very shortly, the girls and I will be meeting to put together a few ideals going forward, such as a picture show for our page, a date to attend mass to deliver a gift and picking a yearly date so we can gather for a drink and conversation.

We also would like for everyone who has some pictures from the evening to send them to; [email protected] so they may be include in the picture show.

Stay tuned for the slide show and enjoy the summer recess.
