Providing geologic information about Maryland since 1896. MGS is a public institution serving Maryland's citizens.

They provide information about the State's natural resources, including groundwater, surface water, the Chesapeake Bay and Atlantic coast, non-energy mineral resources and educational materials related to earth sciences. This is a "fan" site, and is not connected to Maryland Geological Survey or the Department of Natural Resources.
