Friends of Maryland Geological Survey Providing geologic information about Maryland since 1896. MGS is a public institution serving Maryland's citizens.

They provide information about the State's natural resources, including groundwater, surface water, the Chesapeake Bay and Atlantic coast, non-energy mineral resources and educational materials related to earth sciences. This is a "fan" site, and is not connected to Maryland Geological Survey or the Department of Natural Resources. We do not reflect or intend to represent the viewpoints or interests of Maryland Geological Survey or the Department of Natural Resources, or the State of Maryland.
