Happy Friday Retrievers!
We hope you had a wonderful spring break! In addition to our Spring Break faculty-led programs running, it seems like most of our Abroad Ambassadors were also on Spring Break and made the most of their time abroad to travel and explore their host countries! This week read all about Kayla's time in Morocco, Lucy's trip to Derry and celebrating St. Paddy's day in Ireland, Maranna's trip to Osaka, Arnelle's time in Switzerland, Tafat's weekend in Paris, and the highlights Victoria showed to her friend who visited Newcastle! Happy Travel Thursday!
Our Abroad Ambassadors are all abroad now and diving in to their exchange!

Ileana arrived in South Korea and took advantage of the time she had before classes started! She did some traveling and she went to a make up store and got a skin analysis! The worker even taught her how to do an aegyo sal makeup look, which took 2 hours!

Shruthe shared her full fall semester recap in Newcastle! Catch up on her time spent abroad so far, and stay on the lookout for her updates about her spring semester!

Even though Victoria and Lucy are in the midst of midterms, they are still making time for fun side trips and hanging out with their friends!

Happy Food Friday!! Why food you ask? Because our Abroad Ambassadors have been cheffing it up!

Tafat and her friends decided to make a Syrian dish called shish barak and then a Swedish brownie-like dessert! They also took a day trip to Roubaix and visited a museum called La Piscine which is inside of a building that used to be a public pool!

Maranna was missing the tastes of her family cooking and decided to make rice and stew, a typical Nigerian dish! She got spices at in international market and she was super proud of herself once the dish was made!

Happy Friday Retrievers!

Our Abroad Ambassadors Lucy and Victoria have arrived in Ireland and the UK and they are ready for their classes to begin!

Victoria is making new friends in Newcastle, some that are also from UMBC! A highlight of her week was standing outside of the St. James Stadium and listening to fan responses while she watched a game from her phone!

Lucy started exploring around Cork, going to bookstores and markets! She is planning trips around Ireland and Europe, so there is plenty for us to look forward to in her blogs!
