01/20/16 Meeting: Staying Safe While Traveling!
The BWBTA is happy to announce our first meeting of 2016!
The topic of this meeting is "Staying Safe While Traveling!" with guest Eric Sheely.
Eric Sheely is the Americas Analyst with the Overseas Security Advisory Council (OSAC) at the U.S. Department of State. His seminar will focus on travel safety best practices for clients and travel services professionals.
Other topics of discussion will include how to prepare for and respond to an overseas emergency; as well as the types of U.S. government services available to U.S. citizens while traveling abroad. Audience participation is strongly encouraged!

Join the BWBTA and our guest speaker Nancy Van Duyne from United to hear the latest information on airlines in the EMEA region. What major issues and opportunities are present that could be impacting your business.
Nancy Van Duyne is vice president of congressional affairs for United. She is part of the team that develops the legislative strategy for United and serves as the lead federal lobbyist for the airline, representing the legislative interests and goals of the company and its 85,000 employees before Congress. Prior to this position, Van Duyne was vice president of congressional affairs for Continental Airlines. Before joining Continental in March 1993, she served as the director of federal legislation for the Air Transport Association from 1989-1993, manager of the public affairs department of the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey from 1986-1989, and special projects director for former U.S. Senator Bill Bradley (D-NJ) in his Washington office from 1981-1985. Van Duyne currently serves on the Board of Trustees for Bloomfield College (NJ), the Aero Club of Washington, D.C. and St. Simon-by-the-Sea Church in Mantoloking, New Jersey. Van Duyne received her bachelor’s degree from Williams College (MA) and is a graduate of the Coro Fellows Program in Public Affairs and Leadership (NYC ’86). She has one daughter.
