President Daniels in WSJ op-ed: Get the federal science money flowing 05/28/2026

Federal research funding delays are quietly reshaping American science. National Institutes of Health (NIH) has allocated just 33% of its normal budget this year, putting 400,000 jobs and critical medical breakthroughs at risk.

Johns Hopkins President Ron Daniels and The University of Kansas Chancellor Dr. Douglas Girod are calling on the government to release it before the slowdown permanently damages American scientific competitiveness and the jobs that depend on it. https://bit.ly/4f3GuzR
