It is official - Unity of Gaithersburg is searching for a permanent part-time pianist for their Sunday morning services. Congregation is multi-ethnic, multi-racial, gender inclusive, and multi-generational. Candidate must play a variety of styles from praise and worship to latin to folk to Caribbean vibes. Must also assist with one choir rehearsal once a month, and rehearsals are held on the same day as services. Pay is competitive. Looking for a pianist/keyboardist for Sunday morning services at a small church in Gaithersburg. Band includes bass, guitar, and drums/percussion. The vibe can be described as a place where folk might characterize themselves as more "spiritual" than "religious". Congregation is multi-ethnic, multi-racial, multi-lingual, gender inclusive, intergenerational. Versatility is necessary - styles of music played include: traditional hymns/contemporary christian/pop/caribbean/latin/r&b/black gospel /rock/country/
new thought. Rehearsals are 9:15 am - 10:40 am, service is from 11 - 12:15pm. The chorale rehearses on 2nd Sundays after service. Pays.

So...
This is about to go down - this Friday at Unity of Gaithersburg. I'll be reuniting with an old friend and music maker extraordinaire Robert Hitz in an homage to the month of June featuring music from the genres of classical, broadway, '70's and '80's pop, and a twist of jazz.
