TranZed Academy for Working Students - A Program of The Children's Guild

TranZed Academy for Working Students - A Program of The Children's Guild Make more money. Have a flexible school schedule. Dedicated support team. Graduate on time!

Launched in Montgomery County for hard-working high school students, TAWS is built on their strengths and turbocharges their career paths. Our first-class focused on seniors who have found —and kept —jobs on their own and are on track to graduate. TAWS career coaches design Individual Career Plans (ICPs), working backward from our students’ realistic ambitions to high school courses, college and apprenticeship options, and job opportunities. Much like University of Maryland Global Campus (which helped design our program), TAWS builds the students’ academic programs and schedules around their jobs and career goals. TAWS students take high school —and college —courses on-site and online, allowing them to work more hours, earning, and making more money.

Fore! ⛳..Actually, we counted a lot higher than four, both on the course and at our piggy bank! While no course records were in jeopardy, the SOLDOUT 16th Annual Golf Tournament raised $87,000. 🤩
Our spectacular day featured 27 foursomes of golfers from the Maryland, DC and Virginia area. Thank you for your generosity, and may golf lessons be in your near future.

We pause to reflect on the individuals lost on Sept. 11 and honor the first responders who performed heroically during this tragic period in our nation's history.

Today, The Children's Guild, its schools, and its programs pause to reflect on the individuals we lost on Sept. 11 and honor the first responders who performed heroically during this tragic period in our nation's history.
