We sincerely thank Dr. Kesslyn Brade Stennis for her visionary leadership over the past 6 years.
Under her leadership the department has grown in many ways. In the spirit of Harambee, we salute you on all of your accomplishments! We continue to celebrate your promotion to Full professor. We congratulate you as you transition to this new phase of your career. Thank you for your guidance, your vision, your passion and commitment.

We are excited to welcome our new Field Director/Assistant Professor Dr. Gary L. Jones, Jr. LGSW. Dr. Jones holds a Ph.D. from Howard University, MSW from Barry University, and BSW from Oakwood University. He has practiced as a social worker for 18 years. His research interest surrounds transitional issues among youth in foster care. He is committed to strengthening services for youth in the foster care system.
