Afternoon Families:
Tomorrow is the first day of school! Take a moment with your little tonight and head over to class dojo to watch a video as I read them a nighttime poem—- The Night before School at Johnston Square!

’Twas the night before school, throughout Johnston Square,
JSE families were getting backpacks prepared.
The uniforms waited, the sneakers stood near,
And somebody whispered, “School starts TOMORROW?! Already this year?!” 😂
Some scholars were excited, some nervous a bit,
Some promised their grown-ups, “I’m NOT going to sleep yet!” 😴
But over at JSE, the classrooms were bright,
And our staff had prepared everything just right.
The teachers were ready, the hallways looked new,
With plenty of learning — and ClassDojo points too!
Principal Wilhelm was checking once more,
Making sure everything was ready at the door.
AP Patterson was ready, our whole team was too,
Because there’s nothing more important than welcoming YOU!
At 9:00 sharp, we’ll open the door,
And welcome our JSE Owls back once more!
We’ll read and do math, ask questions and grow,
Make friends, build connections, and show what we know.
And families, remember, you’re part of this too —
JSE grows even stronger when we partner with you.
So tuck in your Owl and give one final hug,
Tomorrow they’ll enter a school filled with love.
A place where they’re known, where they belong,
Where we’ll help every child become confident and strong.
Because we are ROOTED IN CONNECTION, from day number one,
And RISING TO GREATNESS has only begun!
So set those alarms and turn off the light…
