In an era where many student-athletes look elsewhere, Robert Walker made a statement: Home is where the heart is.

Despite being heavily recruited by numerous schools throughout the city, Robert has chosen to stay loyal to the community that helped shape him and will continue his academic and athletic career at Green Street Academy.

Robert is arguably the most decorated middle school recruit in GSA history. Over the last two seasons, he has led the Chargers to back-to-back Baltimore City Championships and two undefeated seasons, while averaging 20+ points, 8+ rebounds, and 6+ assists per game. His leadership, basketball IQ, and ability to impact every aspect of the game have made him one of the premier young players in Baltimore.

His success hasn't been limited to the hardwood. Robert has also been a valuable contributor to our middle school football and track & field programs, representing Green Street Academy with pride, toughness, and determination year-round.

This winter, Robert will officially join the GSA Boys Basketball program, where he will have the unique opportunity to continue building his legacy alongside his father, Assistant Coach Rob Walker. Together, they will look to help lead the Chargers into the future and add new chapters to an already impressive family story at GSA.

The offers were there. The attention was real. But when the time came to make a decision, Robert chose loyalty, family, and community.

🚨 FREE SPORTS PHYSICALS FOR BALTIMORE CITY STUDENT-ATHLETES! 🚨

Under Armour and MedStar Health are teaming up to provide FREE sports physicals for Baltimore City student-athletes on Saturday, June 6, 2026, at Under Armour Global Headquarters in Baltimore Peninsula.

🏀🏈⚾🏐🏃🏾‍♀️🏃🏾‍♂️ Playing safely starts with being prepared for the season ahead. Student-athletes can receive their required sports physicals at no cost and get ready for another year of competition.

But this day is about more than physicals—it’s about celebrating YOU.

📚 Baltimore City student-athletes continue to lead the way:
✅ 87.7% attendance rate (compared to 77.5% for non-athletes)
✅ 3.01 cumulative GPA
✅ 97.5% graduation rate
✅ Participation continues to grow across the city

History was made for Green Street Academy Track & Field this weekend!

Senior Gavyn Sydnor soared his way to a 2nd place finish in the Boys Long Jump, the HIGHEST state finish ever by a GSA athlete! Gavyn was able to deliver on the biggest stage. An incredible accomplishment and a moment our program will never forget.

And shoutout to Jarrell Miller for bringing home 3rd place in the 300m hurdles! 🚧⚡ Competing against the best in the state and earning a spot on the podium is no small feat. Tough. Focused. Elite.

2026-27 Athletics Registration is NOW OPEN on DragonFly! ⚡

All middle and high school student-athletes must complete registration (EVERY YEAR) in order to participate. This must also be completed prior to participating in any spring practices taking place at the end of this month.
