Colleen Zogby, PhD Class of 2026, earned the Eileen Collins professional achievement award on March 27, 2026. The award recognizes ongoing professional growth, career success, and a commitment to excellence.
It was named after Eileen Collins, the first female pilot and space shuttle commander in NASA history. Eileen began Aerospace career by earning an A.S. from Corning Community College in 1976. Colleen Zogby is a 1985 graduate of Corning Community College
This award was presented to Colleen by her parents, Dr Donald F Borden and Dr Debra K Borden.

We offer a stand-alone pediatric palliative care graduate certificate (4 courses, 2 semesters)
OR
You can pursue our MS degree and take our peds electives while earning the certificate simultaneously! π
A healthcare practitioner should possess core knowledge of how to care for seriously ill pediatric patients and their families. Whether you are a pediatric or adult practitioner (or both), you WILL be asked to help care for a medically complex child at some point! π§ββοΈ
Our pediatric curriculum is evidence based, offers an interdisciplinary lens, and is taught by leaders in pediatric palliative care.
You will gain the necessary skills to manage the physical, psychosocial, spiritual, ethical, communication, and grief/bereavement needs of the pediatric patient, their family, and other health care providers.

Reid Jacobs, PhD Student, recently gave a presentation/training entitled "Understanding Depression at End of Lifeβ.
