Hello Maryland Auburn Club! This is Kendall - former Club president/everything. I’m happy to see the chatter here getting ready for this football season and thrilled to see new people joining our group! WELCOME (BACK) ALL!
I’ve been quiet as I am dealing with some significant health issues and no longer have the required energy or appropriate time to devote to leading our group. I am more than happy to assist others if someone(s) would like to transition to a leadership position with the Club. Please reach out if you are!
Despite being down a leader, our group has a FANTASTIC game watch host bar who is graciously taking the lead this year putting out Facebook invites for the games (so be sure to LIKE their page). El Bufalo Tequila Bar & Kitchen has hosted us for several seasons - they have OUTSTANDING staff, AMAZING food and WONDERFUL beverages to enjoy during the games. They have an outdoor area on the Square in the Canton neighborhood of Baltimore. There is free street parking all around or a lot on the waterfront about 2 blocks away.
I see that other establishments are popping as other possible options for fans to gather. As Susan of the Metro Washington Club would say, “wherever two or more are gathered in Auburn’s name, it’s a watch party!”
Here’s to a great season. Everyone have fun. Be safe. Don’t go out if you feel ill. Get vaxxed. Hopefully I’ll see you at El B for some games! WAR EAGLE!

Out of an abundance of caution, the Maryland Auburn Club will not be hosting watch parties in any official capacity for the 2020 football season.

We all want to be with other alumni and fans this season and long for things to return to normal. However, at this time, we feel that our club’s game watches are non-essential and carry with them a lot of unnecessary risk. What feels harmless could result in many people infecting others and some people becoming sick. Further, we are concerned that gathering in groups at a bar – cheering and singing - could be viewed by other patrons and those passing by as Auburn putting the community at risk.

El Bufalo Tequila Bar & Kitchen is open and operating with safety precautions in place. They WILL be playing every Auburn football game, as usual, this season. They would love to host you and friends and family.
Please assess your individual risk level and that of your family before patronizing; please do not attend if you are feeling ill.

El Bufalo also has AMAZING carry-out options! Enjoying their wonderful food and beverages at home while watching the games is a great option for everyone. We strongly encourage you patronize our “home bar” however you can this season!
