AI is changing the way we teach. Are educators ready to make the most of it?

This month on The IgnitED Series, we’re exploring Prompt Engineering for Educators and how the way you communicate with AI can shape the quality of what you get back.

Join us as we host Jeremiah Akinmoyeje, LMS & Developer at Lagos Business School, Pan-Atlantic University, for a practical conversation on using prompts to create better learning experiences, save time, and work smarter with AI.

An online course is only as credible as its weakest exam.

We've seen institutions invest heavily in course content and treat assessment security as an afterthought, right up until a cheating scandal makes the decision for them.

What we build instead: AI-based proctoring, exam platforms that hold up at scale, automated grading with instant feedback, and anti-cheating detection that's part of the system rather than bolted on after launch.

A qualification is only worth what people trust it to mean.

We’ve all used AI, but getting the right result often comes down to one thing: how you ask.

This month on The IgnitED Series, we’re talking about Prompt Engineering for Educators and how educators can write better prompts to get more useful, relevant and intentional results from AI.

Our speaker, Jeremiah Akinmoyeje, LMS & Developer at Lagos Business School, will be sharing practical tips and examples you can actually use in your teaching and learning practice.

🎙️ Hosted by Timileyin Onifade

By the time most dashboards flag a disengaged learner, that learner has usually already left.

That's not a shortage of data. It's data arriving too late to act on.

We build analytics dashboards around three things: completion and drop-off patterns, question-level performance, and early warning signals while there's still time to intervene.

A report that tells you what happened last term is a postmortem. What you need is a system that tells you what's happening this week.

There's a difference between a course that looks finished and a course people actually learn from, and it usually comes down to what happened before anyone opened a design tool.

Our instructional design process starts with the objective, not the slide deck: what should a learner be able to do by the end, and how will we know they can do it?

From there: SCORM-compliant content that's genuinely accessible, pedagogy built around retention rather than completion rates, and progress tracking that's live from day one instead of added later.

Producing content is the easy part. Producing content that sticks is the actual job.

Most institutions we talk to already have AI switched on somewhere in their LMS. Fewer of them are using it for anything beyond auto-grading multiple-choice questions.

That gap is where the value actually gets lost. AI earns its place in a learning system when it flags disengagement early, adjusts the pace for the learner instead of the other way round, and takes repetitive grading off an instructor's desk.

None of that needs a bigger AI budget. It needs the system built for it from the start.

Where's AI actually pulling weight in your LMS right now, and where's it just sitting there?
