We are wrapping up our new faculty and staff introductions with Mrs. Amy Rudich, LCSW-C, who will serve as Catholic High’s new School Counselor! Mrs. Rudich earned her Bachelor of Social Work from James Madison University before continuing her education at the University of Maryland, Baltimore where she earned her Master of Social Work.

Mrs. Rudich joins our team with extensive experience as a Clinical Counselor at Cedar Ridge Counseling and Core Counseling Services. She has also served as a Social Worker at the University of Maryland Center for Diabetes and Endocrinology and as a Community Case Manager at Johns Hopkins HealthCare. We are thrilled to have Mrs. Rudich on our staff who will provide meaningful support, guidance, and encouragement to our young women throughout their high school journey. Our young women in Franciscan Youth Ministry had an amazing two-day retreat in collaboration with Archbishop Curley at Sandy Cove Ministries! Both our young women and the Curley men shared in Adoration, Confession, and reflection, while also making time for fun with tubing, team-building activities, and shared meals. We’re excited to see our FYM leaders bring their faith, energy, and many amazing ideas back to our school community this year! ✨

A special shoutout to our Campus Minister, Mrs. Stitz ’90, and Ms. Gideon for chaperoning and helping make this meaningful experience possible for our young women!

The next faculty member we would like to highlight may not be new to Catholic High this year, but Ms. Miranda Heuscher joined our community in the Fall of last school year. We are excited to officially welcome her to the Visual & Performing Arts Department as our Art Teacher! Ms. Heuscher earned her B.S. in Biology from Stevenson University and has a strong background in the arts, having completed several art courses during college and attended high school at the George W. Carver Center for Arts & Technology.

After previously teaching science, Ms. Heuscher is bringing her passion for both education and the arts to Catholic High, where she leads our esteemed Art Program. We are so excited to have Ms. Heuscher in McCafferty Hall, inspiring our young women and helping them discover and develop their creative potential! As we welcome back our faculty this week, we are thrilled to highlight our new faculty and staff who are joining us this year! Catholic High is excited to welcome our new School Nurse, Mrs. Kristina Copp, RN, BSN to our school community. She earned her A.S. in Nursing from the Community College of Baltimore County before continuing her education at Western Governors University, where she earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing.

Mrs. Copp joins Catholic High after working as a nurse at the University of Maryland St. Joseph Medical Center. She also brings experience as an ICU Nursing Technician at Mercy Medical Center. We are thrilled to have Mrs. Copp on our staff and know she will be a wonderful addition to our school community, helping keep our students, faculty, and staff healthy and safe! Welcome to Catholic High, Nurse Copp! 🩺🐻
