April is Parkinson’s Awareness Month 🧠💙
Parkinson’s doesn’t just impact movement—it can affect voice, speech, and swallowing, too. As SLPs, we play a key role in helping individuals stay heard, understood, and connected.
At the Loyola Clinical Centers, we’re proud to offer SPEAK OUT!—through both individual and group therapy sessions—to support people with Parkinson’s in strengthening their voice and communication.
Awareness matters. Early support matters. Your voice matters.

💬✨ October is AAC Awareness Month! ✨💬
At Loyola, we’re celebrating the incredible ways Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) empowers individuals to connect, share, and participate in everyday life.
From our faculty leading AAC research and instruction 🧠📚 to our graduate students gaining hands-on experience in the field 💪💬 — we’re proud to advance understanding and inclusion for all communicators.
Let’s continue to reframe AAC as a tool for communication access — for both speaking and nonspeaking individuals alike! 💚

🎧 October is Audiology Awareness Month!
Hearing plays a vital role in how we experience life. This month, we’re raising awareness about hearing wellness and celebrating the experts dedicated to helping people hear their best.
We’re excited to welcome Dr. Candace Robinson, our newest clinical audiologist, to the team! Dr. Robinson brings extensive experience and a passion for helping individuals improve their hearing and quality of life. 💙
We’re also inspired by “Headphones” by Matt Nathanson, a collaboration with the Starkey Hearing Foundation, where 100% of the artist and label proceeds supported access to hearing care around the world. 🌍
Join us in celebrating the importance of hearing health, the joy of sound, and the professionals who make it all possible. 👂✨
