One of the best parts of St. Francis of Assisi School? Our location right next to Herring Run Park.
With the return of Friday on the Field, students get to take full advantage—enjoying lunch outdoors and extra time to move, play, and connect in a space that’s right in our backyard. It’s a simple part of the week, but one that students really look forward to.

The creativity is shining in 7th & 8th grade! 🎨
Inspired by mosaic artists and the vibrant work of Alma Thomas, our students designed beautiful paper mosaics using small, carefully arranged shapes to form one cohesive image. Through this project, they explored the elements of color and shape, discovering how individual pieces can come together to create something truly striking.
We love seeing their vision (and patience!) come to life in these incredible works of art.

What a beautiful Earth Day at SFA! 🌎 💚💙
Students explored hands-on stations featuring oysters and the Chesapeake Bay, water pH testing, microplastics, recycling challenges, and plant science—plus creating upcycled bird feeders and planting snapdragons to take home 🌱
We ended the day with a special nature walk alongside prayer partners, reflecting on how we can care for God’s creation together.
