“The same technology can either meaningfully improve care or quietly introduce risk, depending on how rigorously it’s built, validated, and monitored,” says John C. Malone Associate Professor of Computer Science Suchi Saria. “In healthcare, the question isn’t whether errors happen but rather how quickly were these detected and corrected before harm could occur.”
Around 40 million Americans ask ChatGPT a healthcare-related question every day, according to a January report from OpenAI.
