LION has gone to Winter quarters. Thanks, and Happy New Year to all followers of the LION page. There are many new followers in the last few months! The number has increased steadily after I sent an invitation to all of my friends to follow. Facebook at work!

LION participated in the Parade of Sail!

We find that LION sails well in light airs. We use the "basic three" Main, Fore, and first Staysail. I found the rig a little out of balance so now we use the Main Topsail at all times. The other sails are pretty hard to use shorthanded, and we are always going to be shorthanded due to limited crew space. we have had some pleasant sails, and are looking forward to participating in the "Parade of Sail" at The Great Chesapeake Bay Schooner Race on October 6th, 2021 -https://gcbsr.org/
