Learning is fun, when it is fun to learn!!!!
I came across a quote in reference to Rosh HaShanah, that is equally valuable as we begin 2018. ‘Rosh Hashanah isn’t just about being new, it’s about a change.”’ – Max Levis
What changes do you want to make this year?
What Mitzvah would you like to try in 2018?
What prayer do you want to learn? What holiday do you want to celebrate? What sacred text do you want to read for the very first time?
Let's take the lesson from Rosh Hashanah and make 2018 a great year!
It's a New Year and never too late to add Jewish learning into your schedule! Garenim offers flexible times and locations!

Teaching Hebrew can be a challenge, and it can also be so much fun! Hebrew poems and songs, puzzles and pretzels. Garenim students are having such a great time, sometimes they forget that they are learning! Garenim is opening new groups and private tutoring all year long!
Teach a child, his or her own way, and they will connect to the Torah their entire lives.
This idea from the book of Proverbs resonates today. How many Jewish students are there who have learning differences and struggle to stay in a Jewish Day School? How many Jewish students who are in Supplemental Hebrew School, late in the afternoon, after giving it their all -- all day long, can't sit in a class for another two hours? How many Jewish students with developmental delays, or physical disabilities have little or no access to a meaningful and appropriate Jewish education?
Join Garenim Learning as we expand Jewish opportunities to children and their families who want the connection to the Jewish community and who are looking for "their child's way" so that Torah stays with them throughout their lives.
“Intelligence plus character-that is the goal of true education.”

The bad teacher’s words fall on his pupils like harsh rain; the good teacher’s, as gently as the dew." ~~ Talmud, Ta’anit 7a
An interesting reflection on the relationship between teachers and students. How many of us can remember sitting in the harsh rain? How many of us can remember sitting in gentle dew?
