Last April, JHU alum Peter Li presented the product "The Atlas Wristband" at JHU's Business Plan Competition. Since then, the Atlas has gained momentum in the wearable fitness device market, and made a strong showing at the Consumer Electronics show in Las Vegas this past month. Read more below:

With Atlas, JHU alum poised to make big splash in wearable fitness tracker market No, we're not talking about the primordial Greek Titan balancing the world on his shoulders. We're talking about this thing, which might be the world's most advanced wearable fitness tracker.

Business Networking Event lures enterprise-minded students | The Johns Hopkins News-Letter Business professionals networked with and offered advice to current students at the Second Annual Business Networking Event last Saturday in Levering Hall. The event was co-hosted by the business fraternity Alpha Kappa Psi (AKPsi) and the student entrepreneur group StartUp Hopkins.

The dates for the 2014 Johns Hopkins University Business Plan Competition have been determined. This year's Medical Technology Category will offer two tracks, Undergraduate and Graduate and this category of the competition will be open nationally.

The DEADLINE to enter the competition is Friday, February 15, 2013 at 12:00 PM. Please make sure you complete your entry by this time. Remember the Video Pitch is optional but STRONGLY ENCOURAGED.

Business Plan Competition Information Session will be held on the Homewood Campus in the Mason Hall Auditorium on Tuesday, February 5, 2013 at 4:00 PM.
