We had the opportunity to Tap In with Brother Khyron McReynolds, a Spring ’24 initiate of the Beta Gamma Chapter seated at Virginia State University. Brother McReynolds is the latest winner of our Belford V. Lawson Oratorical Competition and recently earned a Bachelor of Science in Information Logistics Technology. He plans to pursue his master’s degree while continuing to advance his military career. Onward and Upward, Good Brother.🤙🏽

Today’s ‘Alpha Newsroom’ features Director of Communications & Editor of the Sphinx Brother Eric Christopher Webb, DDiv., CPLC, offering Breaking News coverage of the announcement of the Fraternity’s new partnership with the Jed Foundation to protect mental health and prevent su***de among its members as well as its ongoing ‘Battle for the Ballot’ coverage as fallout from the U.S. Supreme Court’s gutting of the Voting Rights Act of 1965, including states passing more redistricting maps to dilute Black voting power and remove Black lawmakers; national Black voter mobilizations and protest, and efforts by the NAACP and the Congressional Black Caucus to coerce university athletic programs in the South who benefit from Black athletic prowess to fill their stadiums and their bank accounts to oppose their state governments efforts to diminish Black representation and dismantle Black political power.
