Big feelings…
🍎Just like you they have feeling and a life outside of the classroom.
👩🏾🏫That does not excuse their behavior, but it a reminder for us as educators not to take it personally.
💃🏽 Caring is part of being a good educator and can show up in many different ways like giving you and them a chance to breathe.

Feelings matter!
The feeling/ emotional release you get from dancing it what keeps you on the dance floor, so it’s responsible to simply say leave your feeling at the door.
Our feeling are with us at all times, now as adults we’ve learn to navigate and prioritize, this is something we teach our students to do.

Story time
It’s was a West African dancer who encouraged me to write about dance, and I’m so thankful for that. This habit is part of the reason I’m a successful dancer and dance educator.
I designed a journal for your high school aged dancers. Drop the word “journal “ in the comments below and I’ll send you a link to make your order.
