It was wonderful seeing so many EI students, friends, alumni, and faculty at last week's Baltimore-Washington Annual Conference of the United Methodist Church.

Dr. Rebecca Hancock will be this evening’s guest lecturer for our summer Faith and Fiction course, which begins tonight!

Each week, Faith and Fiction features a different member of the EI faculty leading a discussion on a favorite book or film.

Tonight’s novel: 𝘛𝘩𝘦 𝘏𝘰𝘣𝘣𝘪𝘵 by J.R.R. Tolkien.

Congratulations to Darron C. Woodus (MACM ’18), who was ordained as a permanent deacon by Archbishop William Lori on Saturday, May 9.

Deacon Woodus was among the 14 men ordained to the permanent diaconate this year in the Archdiocese of Baltimore, a group that also included four current students of St. Mary’s Ecumenical Institute.

Dr. Michael Gorman is currently leading a group of 36 on an educational pilgrimage to Turkey, Greece, and Italy, visiting places where Paul, John, and other early Christians lived and ministered.

The group includes six EI students, four alumni, and six seminarians, pictured here in Philippi.
