Dear JUMP community,
We are thrilled to welcome you to the official JUMP Family page of Johns Hopkins Underserved in the Medical Professions (JUMP)! π Our organizationβs mission is to bridge gaps and dismantle barriers hindering the application progression of Johns Hopkins students and alumni pursuing health professional careers. We are not just a learning community; we are a family dedicated to helping JHU students and alumni achieve their health professional dreams.
π₯Ό What is JUMP?
JUMP is a vibrant learning community committed to supporting students in their pre-health journeys. We collaborate with academic institutions, medical professionals, and community partners to create opportunities for aspiring healthcare leaders from under-resourced backgrounds. As a JUMP member, students have access to workshops, panels, events, clinical & research opportunities, committees, leadership positions, Wellness Programs, and more!
π‘ Benefits of JUMP Membership:
Our dedicated staff focuses on four pillars of pre-health engagement: 1) Academic Support, Testing, and Application Assistance, 2) Leadership and Community Engagement, 3) Immersive Experiences, and 4) Learning and Skill Development. Being a JUMP member provides community support, curated information, financial assistance, skill development opportunities, and unique experiences to fuel your success.
π€ Who Can Join JUMP?
JUMP is designed to promote diversity and inclusion in the health professions. From the summer before students start at Hopkins through their senior year, and even during bridge years before medical or health professional school, JUMP nurtures a community actively exploring careers in medicine and healthcare.
π JUMP Enrollment Process:
Joining JUMP is easy! Students can submit their membership application, attend a JUMP-Start session, and complete the New Member Form on our JUMP Hopkins Groups page!
- Fall Semester Deadline: Second week of September
- Spring Semester Deadline: Second week of February
