Over the past five years, I’ve enjoyed working with hundreds of public and independent schools, school districts, nonprofits, businesses and government agencies on a wide variety of projects.

I’m often asked: what does a consultant do? On any given day, I’m training PK-12 educators to be bold supporters of their q***r and trans students, coaching nonprofit executive directors of grassroots orgs to build strong operational infrastructure, producing large and small cultural events, teaching middle schoolers to be champions for anti-oppression, building websites for small businesses, guest speaking at conferences, facilitating challenging conversations with teams, and much more.

There are many different types of consultants. I’m proud to do the type of work that contributes to a world in which we are all a little bit better at taking care of each other. At the end of the day, that’s what I do.

1️⃣3️⃣ years ago, I was a teacher at at Hampstead Hill Academy in Baltimore City. This morning, I returned as a guest speaker for Career Day, and presented to middle school students about my work. We talked about nonprofit management, LGBTQ inclusion and what it takes to start and run a business. I even visited my old classroom! 🥲 I’ll always love this place, my first teaching home. Thank you HHA for inviting me to speak to your students!
