💙 September is Prostate Cancer Awareness Month.
This month, Community Outreach & Engagement (COE) joins communities across Maryland in raising awareness about prostate cancer and the importance of education, informed decision-making, and access to trusted health resources.
At COE, reducing the burden of cancer means bringing information directly into the communities we serve. Through community events, educational programs, conversations with cancer experts, and partnerships with local organizations, we work to help Marylanders better understand prostate cancer—including risk factors, screening considerations, prevention, treatment, and the importance of speaking with a healthcare provider.
Our goal goes beyond awareness. We want to help create opportunities for people to ask questions, connect with reliable resources, and feel empowered to make informed decisions about their health.
Throughout September, we encourage you to start the conversation about prostate health with the men in your life. A conversation today could make a meaningful difference tomorrow. 💙
