🌿Today we learned how to make some of the yummy Bhutanese dishes that we have been tasting on this trip.
🌿 Bhutanese cuisine is delicious, hearty, and famously spicy, centered around chili (ema), cheese (datshi), and staple grains like red rice or buckwheat.
🌿The national dish of Bhutan is Ema Datshi (chili-cheese stew)🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️
🌿The Bhutanese royal family is widely loved due to their leadership style, which emphasizes citizen well-being over political power. Their popularity is attributed to the Fourth King’s introduction of democracy and the Fifth King’s direct involvement in resolving individual issues through the Royal Kidu system. The Wangchuck dynasty is seen as a compassionate and unifying force that protects the nation’s future, focusing on Gross National Happiness, humility, and the preservation of the environment and culture.
